The Simpsons' to be Made Available Online

Cable network FXX will make all episodes of 'The Simpsons' available online. They were able to get a deal for an exclusive cable network rights to the show. The longest-running animated series will be archived online and fully searchable soon.

FXX is said to be launching the archive with the title, "Simpsons World" giving viewers on-demand access to the animated series anytime and anywhere. If airtime is missed, they can just go to the site to look for the episode they want to watch.

"Authenticated" FX subscribers will be able to access the site instantly and they can watch the episodes in any of the following devices: iPhone, iPad, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Smart Tvs, Android Phones and tablets, and all other possible devices one could use.

For non-subscribers, they can watch the videos but not the whole episode. Another perk of being a subscriber is that they can search for specific quotes, make their own playlists, and share some of their favorite episodes or clips.

Other sites such as Hulu have some of the Simpsons clips available for online viewing. However, only eight of the most recent episodes are in their streaming service.

Also, FXX will air all 25 seasons of the animated series in a row. This is dubbed as the "Longest Marathon Ever" which includes all 522 episodes of The Simpsons. It's basically like a Simpsons' craze for 12 days. And when we say 12 days, we mean literally 12 days, 24 hours a day, no breaks.

So for those who are feeling a little bit nostalgic and have a lot of free time on their hands, you better not miss it. The marathon will start on August 21, 2014. Be ready with your popcorn and some sodas to keep you awake for 12 days of just curling up on your couch in front of your T.V.
