The Hawks were in town when they faced off against the Brooklyn Nets last week.

The injuries have sidelined Sefolosha for the remainder of the season and isn't slated to return until next season.

The loss of Sefolosha costs the top-ranked Hawks a vital component for their strong perimeter defense heading into the playoffs.

After a practice, Sefolosha explained to the press that his council advised him that he could not discuss the facts of the case and will be discussed by his attorney in a court of law.

"I will simply say that I am in great pain, have experienced a significant injury, and that the injury was caused by the police," Sefolosha stated on Tuesday.

A video has surfaced that showed policemen striking Sefolosha in the leg with a baton.

He adds that he is saddened at the prospect of not being able to stand with his team in the Playoffs but will be rooting for them every step of the way.

Sefolosha and Antic were outside the nightclub where Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland was stabbed.

The two Hawks players were charged with obstructing authorities as well as disorderly conduct. However, Antic said that they were not even with Copeland at the time of his stabbing.

Both players were released without bail, with Sefolosha visibly limping during his appearance in court.

Sefolosha is set to undergo surgery in the next few days. A clearer timetable for his return will come up after the procedure.
