Amidst the buzz for a possible meteoric pay increase for the cast of the "Big Bang Theory", co-creator Chuck Lorre shared with EOnline.com that he believes the stars deserve the raise they are asking for.

Lorre shared, "Everybody should be very successful and happy and rich. They earned it. It's a great cast. Great cast. It's their time."

With days away from their scheduled July 30 taping for the eighth season, the "Big Bang Theory" stars have yet to sign their contracts. Only Melissa Rauch and Mayim Balik are currently under contract.

The cast is holding out for a big pay increase, with the show's main cast members - namely, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, asking for $1 million an episode. Currently, the three main stars earn $325,000 per episode.

If management agrees to what the stars are asking for, the cast will be joining the elite group of TV actors paid such a substantial amount for thirty-minutes worth of airtime. This includes the cast of "Friends" who were paid $1 million each during their last two seasons on air.

Although contracts haven't been signed yet, Lorre isn't worried about the upcoming production for the new season. He doesn't believe that the ongoing negotiations will affect their schedule.

"It will be fine. Warner Brothers has done this before," Lorre added.

His statement was in reference to a 2010 renegotiation between the show's producing studio and the "Big Bang Theory" cast wherein contracts were agreed upon on the last minute.

Supporting Lorre's confidence, CBS president Nina Tassler, stated, "We're feeling very confident that everything will work out. These deals manage to get done miraculously somehow year after year."

Last March, the show was renewed for another three more seasons.

Chuck Lorre, who also created the hit comedy series "Two and a Half Men", created the "Big Bang Theory" alongside Bill Prady.
