ESPN Reporter Caught On Video In A Rant

In what appears to be a security-camera footage, a video of an ESPN reporter Britt McHenry has been making the rounds on the Internet showing her in an nasty rant as she viciously scolded a lot attendant of a towing company that had resulted in her suspension from the network.

The Washington D.C.-based bureau reporter went to retrieve her car, which was towed earlier this month from an Arlington, Va.  At the lot of Advanced Towing, she became displeased with the cashier and began boasting about her position while threatening the company.

The video, which was posted on LiveLeak.com, shows McHenry saying that they just wanted people's money but that they have no education and no skills.  And goes on to say, "I'm in the news sweetheart, and I will (f*ng) sue this place."

After a while she became insulting and spoke in a more personal manner practically saying she had more brains than the cashier because she was not a college dropout.

Then she became nastier insulting the cashier's teeth and weight and said that if she were missing some teeth, maybe the towing company would hire her too.

She gets juvenile afterwards saying she had better teeth because she was on television while the cashier was just "in a [expletive] trailer!" and goes on to say her skin is crawling just by being there.

After the video went online, McHenry tweeted to apologize for her behavior, saying she regretted the incident and it was due to the intense and stressful moment that had allowed her emotions to control her.  And goes on to say she was sorry and "will learn from this mistake."

Britt McHenry joined ESPN in March 2014 as a bureau reporter for Washington, D.C.   She served as a correspondent for SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, NFL Live, and Baseball Tonight.

McHenry who had earned her master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, was the first D.C. reporter to interview Bryce Harper when he was just 17-years old and landed one-on-one interviews with Redskins owner Dan Snyder, and Mike Shanahan during his last season. She also had co-hosted an hour-long Super Bowl special.
