Just a couple of days after Nicki Minaj, 32, posted her 15-carat gigantic, heart-shaped, yellow diamond engagement ring on Twitter on Wednesday; a source confirmed that Minaj and Meek Mill, 27, are engaged.  Both have been very close the past few months, lately spending "quality time together" and that the two "truly love each other."

According to an insider the two are not wasting any time and are planning a no-holds-barred wedding for the near future and that Meek wants to make sure that his bride-to-be will have a memorable day.

A source says that Nicki  "has been waiting for this special day for some time" as Meek promises her a perfect, fairytale-come-true wedding. "This is such an exciting time in her life," the source continued.

The rumors about the dating couple began in December 2014, but everyone was always kept guessing whether its true or not.

There are speculations that this engagement could be a marketing strategy, keeping the real facts vague such as Minaj's tweet of emojis that communicate

"heart," "diamond," and "engagement ring."  However, a source told E! that the engagement is indeed real.

Minaj is known to be a very private individual who has always kept her public guessing whether her music links to the real Nicki Minaj the person. The news about the engagement during the couple's "Pinkprint" tour with 20 more performances to go, makes some observers question whether Minaj and her "fiance's" upcoming wedding may just be a way to "heighten the appeal for would-be ticket-buyers."

Minaj's "wardrobe malfunction" during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards actually made people wonder if it was "pre-planned."  A TMZ report claimed that the "malfunction" also happened during dress rehearsal.
