Iggy Azalea Dominates Teen Choice Awards with 5 Additional Nominations + '22 Jump Street'

Australian rap artist Iggy Azalea leads on the second wave of nominations for the Teen Choice Awards, announced last Thursday, July 17 with five more additional nominations.

On the first wave of nominations announced last month, the artist previously had only one nomination for Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Artist. However, with the release of her chart-topper hit 'Fancy', more nominations were added to her list.

Her song 'Fancy' featuring English singer-songwriter Charli XCX was released February 17 this year by Island Records and has since been successful. The song reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for seven consecutive weeks. It was her first number-song song.

'Fancy' will be competing for both Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song and Choice Summer Song.

Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' as well as her collaboration with Ariana Grande 'Problem' were also nominated for Choice Single Female Artist. She will also be battling with Grande for the title Choice Summer Artist: Female.

Ariana Grande's song 'Break Free' has also earned a nomination for Choice Break Up Song.

On the other hand, Beyonce was listed under the nominees for Choice Summer Tour for her concert 'On the Run'. The singer also topped this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Nicki Minaj also garnered nods for "Pills and Potions". She will be standing against other artists for Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song and Choice Summer Music Star.

'22 Jump Street' is the leading nominee for the movie category. '22 Jump Street' is an action-comedy film which featured actors Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill released on the second quarter of 2014.

The movie was nominated for Choice Summer Movie and Choice Movie Chemistry for the two actors. The actors are also up against other nominees for Choice Summer Movie Star.

Other notable nominations were that of 'Pretty Little Liars'  and 'Vampire Diaries' for the TV category.

The 2014 Teen Choice Awards will air live on Sunday, August 10 on FOX.
