Miley Cyrus has recently parted ways with Patrick Schwarzenegger, but don't expect her to be binge watching while devouring a pint of ice cream, as she just recently posted a photo of her back in the recording studio.

The 22-year old singer and actress shared the photo on her Instagram account. She captioned it, "Eating veggies in the stu" and used the hashtags, "wilsondiet #notarealdiet #asinbrian" referencing the Beach Boys' front man, Brian Wilson.

A source close to the situation revealed to People last Monday that Miley and 21-year old Patrick had decided to call it quits after dating for just five months.

The source said that the two are simply at two different points in their lives. Patrick is in college and Miley is "focused on her music and career."

Miley started dating the son of Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver in October of last year and were most of the time spotted enjoying the party life together. There were even reports that claimed that Maria Shriver was extremely worried about Miley being a bad influence to his son.

The former couple reportedly had a difficult time getting things back to normal after Patrick was spotted hugging and linking arms with a bikini-clad brunette in Mexico during his spring break last March 15.

Aside from that, he was also seen hanging out with his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Burns, even accepting a helping hand from her, as she applied sunscreen on his back, while partying in Cabo on that same trip. Patrick reportedly dated Taylor for a year before he got with Miley.

Though Miley never spoke out about the issue, sources claimed that the Wrecking Ball singer felt humiliated and extremely embarrassed. Though they attempted to patch things up, it seems like Miley cannot get past Patrick's alleged flirting ways, as their separation is not temporary.
