James became a free agent in July and before his announcement of returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers on July 11, the small community of Bath Township had to put up with hundreds of basketball fans and media men flocked his home which caused a ruckus in the neighborhood.

Tuesday, co-owner of Baker Boulevard Decadent Cupcakes LaKisha Williams said that her staff delivered a dozen cupcakes to each of the 65 homes in the neighborhood including the Bath Township police department who received five dozen of the sweet desserts.

Police Chief Michael McNeely said that the cupcakes "are the best I've eaten."

"We are sorry for the chaos," said in the note that comes with the 800 cupcakes that bears the name of James, Savannah, his wife and two sons. "We are so blessed to have understanding neighbors like you."

James went to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School located in Bath where he played basketball and football for the Fighting Irish.

During James' freshman year, he led the basketball varsity team to a 27-0 record, winning them the Division III state title. On his sophomore year, he led the team again to a second state title and was named Ohio's Mr. Basketball. In the same year, he also played wide receiver in football and was named first team all-state.

James was awarded Mr. Basketball a second time during his junior year but their team lost the Division II championship game partially due to a broken wrist when he injured himself during an American Athletic Union (AAU) game. This prompted him to put a halt on his football career.

After LeBron's junior year, he made an attempt to join the 2002 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft but was unsuccessful for the NBA's eligibility rules clearly states that one has to be a high school graduate in order to enter.

LeBron finished his senior year being named Mr. Basketball for the third consecutive year and entered the 2003 NBA Draft where he was selected first overall by the Cavs.
