Because of his injuries, the dancing star will not be able to appear this week at the New York Spring Spectacular in New York City and it is uncertain if he will be able to continue this season's "DWTS."

It seems Hough will not be able to perform on the episode on Monday, April 27.  To prepare for the live show, his dancing partner, 2008 Olympic gold-medal gymnast, Nastia Liukin will be training with pro-dancer Sasha Farber in Los Angeles this week, his rep continued.

Close friend choreographer and fellow dancer, Mark Ballas posted a photo of Hough in a wheelchair on Instagram and then deleted it.  He had written a caption that revealed Hough spent the whole night at the emergency room.  Ballas, his girlfriend, singer Britney Jean Carlson, and Ballas' father pro dancer, Corky, had escorted Hough to the hospital.

Determined to make a quick recovery, Hough also posted an Instagram photo with a quote that sounded optimistic, saying that his setback is just a platform for his comeback.

After the accident, Hough said that he was happy with his last performance, which was the spring break episode.  He said he was proud and happy about their performance and that they had spent hours working on the routine.  He said it was tough but they did it so they can do well on the floor.

After his release from ER, Hough was spotted walking with crutches coming out of the Blu Jam Cafe in Los Angeles Wednesday morning.
