(Photo : Reuters) Adele is back, easily reclaiming the same public adoration she once had.

Angelo Adkins, the son of singer Adele with partner Simon Konecki, won a lawsuit brought about by his parents against the paparazzi over photos of his "milestone moments".

The said photos of Angelo, who will turn two this October, were taken in June and November last year.

Corbis Images UK Limited agreed to pay a five-figure sum in damages and legal costs to the child, promising to never print or distribute the photos again.

Adele, whose full name is Adele Adkins, and Konecki will be placing the money won from the lawsuit into a trust for Angelo.

Lawyers representing the toddler and his parents emphasized that the child is not "public property".

Solicitor Jenny Afia said in a hearing last Wednesday that it is sad and unfortunate that the child's private "milestone moments", such as his first outing with his family, were photographed and published without his family's consent.

Afia said that just because Adele is famous does not mean that her child is a celebrity and up for public consumption. "The law can, will and should protect them," she added.

The photos of Adele with her child were not taken in a public event.

She reiterated that the paparazzi had no right to intrude into the child's personal life and more so, had no right to profit from the intrusion.

"Adele and Simon never encourage such photos. Quite the opposite," she added.

Adele is involved in helping fund a campaign in California focused on pushing for stricter harassment laws in order to prevent paparazzi from taking photos of children.

The legal firm Schillings has contacted the freelance photographers who took Angelo's photos and have informed them that legal action would be taken if they harass the child and take his photos during his private moments again.

Grammy award-winner and Oscar-winner Adele was named one of the most powerful women by BBC Radio in February 2013.
