Cambodian PM Refuses To Pay 'Fight Of The Century' Wager: ‘Hold It In China’

His Excellency Hun Sen, prime minster of Cambodia, is refusing to pay his loss on a bet of $5,000 which he made during the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on May 2 because he deemed the fight to be unfair.

The former Khmer Rouge commander, whom CNBC reports as a very avid Pacquiao supporter, kept reiterating in a speech that Mayweather was only running, blocking, and avoiding, while Pacquiao kept throwing torrential amounts of punches despite minimally hitting Maywether.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, also known as "The People's Champ," is a Filipino boxer who has been inducted into the boxing hall of fame, going through eight weight divisions in his whole boxing career. Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. is the highest paid athlete in the world and has never lost a fight, 48-0, including the latest bout.

The 30-year prime minister also believed that the American referees and judges were all in favor of Mayweather because the fight was done in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. He further expressed that if it were done in a neutral territory like in China, the People's Champ would have won even without a knockout.

There have been a number of boxing matches held outside Las Vegas like Macau, so it is not impossible for Top Rank and Mayweather Promotions to set up a rematch outside of American soil just to settle things.

In a report by a Philippine news channel, ABS-CBN, His Excellency stated that the Filipinos would love to see a rematch, knowing that if the fight was held in the Philippines, Filipinos would want to see Floyd beaten and bruised.

The frustration and disappointment of the prime minister is echoed by many boxing fans around the world, many of which says that the "Fight of the Century" did not reach the expected hype it produced prior to the match on May 2.
