Power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are saying farewell to their home in New Orleans.

The house was officially put up for sale on Tuesday for $6.5 million. The mansion which was renovated but built way back in the 1830s in the famous French Quarter in New Orleans boasts of an elevator, five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, and a separate two-storey guest house. All in all, the property stands on 7,645 square feet of land.

Though he didn't identify the owners, Latter and Clum's Nycholas Hynes, a listing agent, described the house as "beautiful," which even has an off-the-street parking. He also said that the property is "a real gem in the French Quarter."

The future owners of the mansion will get to enjoy the Venetian walls, marble fireplaces, spiral staircase and probably Brad's personal styles as well, considering that he is extremely interested in architecture and has even had some of his furniture custom-made. The kitchen is also fully equipped with the best and most expensive appliances and the backyard includes a swimming pool.

The couple bought the mansion back in 2006 for almost half the price they are selling it today--$3.5 million--as the whole city dealt and coped with what Hurricane Katrina did to their hometown.

Brad has contributed a lot to the city since his family became a resident and founded the Make It Right organization to help build and create sustainable and ecological housing for communities in need.

Last year, the Fury actor and Matthew McConaughey were spotted having a friendly and neighborly chat on their respective balconies. After the two actors realized that they lived just across the street from each other, Brad immediately went back inside his home, grabbed a beer and threw it over Matthew, who opened it right there to take a sip.
