Apple's Big iPhone 6S Leap: Rumors About Its Specs

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for having a solid record of iPhone predictions these past few years, said in an investor's note that with even more specs for the new model of iPhone Apple would tempt buyers.

Apple's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will most likely follow Apple's customary time frame which will be launched on September. Since the release schedule history falls on September or later period of the year. The iPhone 4s was released in October 2011, iPhone 5 in September 2012, iPhone 5s and 5c September 2013, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in September 2014.

According to an article written by Gordon Kelly, the key features of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus such as 2 GB Ram, 12 Camera Megapixels, A9 processor, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch model are elements that developers and consumers really look forward to.

There's still another feature that Apple will most likely offer and that is the use of Sapphire Glass as display. The Sapphire is considered to be stronger and harder to scratch compared to Gorilla Glass. GT Advanced, Apple's sapphire supplier went bankrupt due to the expensive cut and tough manufacture of the product.

Corning, the company behind the Gorilla Glass that is also used in current iPhones, presented an alternative glass material that is as durable as Sapphire Glass and named it under "Project Phire".

Corning Glass President James Clappin said, "We told you last year that sapphire was great for scratch performance but didn't fare well when drop,

So we created a product that offers the same superior damage resistance and drop performance of Gorilla Glass 4 with scratch resistance that approaches sapphire."

There is a possibility that only "limited" iPhone 6S Plus Edition will be out with a Sapphire screen as said by Kuo, according to G for Games.

Analysts took notice of the notable enhancements Apple has for the iPhone lineup this year. Kuo has a solid track record predicting changes and add-ons in Apple products. Developers and consumers will have to wait until September to know what features does Apple include in their new model.
