Google Works Together With LG For The Upcoming 2015 Nexus Smartphone

Tech giant Google is known for the annual release of its flagship smartphone, the Nexus. Since 2010, the company has released a new model of its smartphone and this year Google is poised to unveil its Google Nexus 2015.

The name for the newest smartphone from Google is yet to be named but rumors surrounding the device claims that LG will be the company responsible for manufacturing it. Both Google and LG has yet to issue an official release date for the highly anticipated Nexus smartphone.

According to International Business Times, the Google Nexus 2015 will be an upgraded version of the Nexus 5 which was released in 2013. Google also said that the upcoming Nexus device will work on the design blunder that has hampered the popularity of the Nexus 6, one of which is the oversized screen as well as the expensive price tag that comes with it.

Industry experts predict that the upcoming Nexus device's display size will be somewhere within the Nexus 5's 4.95-inch and Nexus 6's 5.96-inch range. Some experts favored that Nexus 5's smaller display size and suggests that Google should maintain the same specs and just add Quad HD resolution which is offered by the bigger Nexus 6 display.

For its additional specifications, LG will most likely add a more power battery with fast and wireless charging technology. A polycarbonate chassis with a full metal frame is also expected as this seems to be the latest trend when it comes to high-end smartphones like iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S6.

According to Geek Snack, the upcoming Nexus phone will have a 13 megapixel rear camera with image stabilization as well as a 5 megapixel front camera. The report added that the phone will come with standard speakers but a Google and LG is working on a post-processing software to enhance it.

As for its price, currently the Motorola Nexus 6 is offered in two storage variants; 32 gigabyte for $649 and 64 gigabyte for $845.
