Peter Dinklage Toasts His ‘Game Of Thrones’ Character’s Good Health With A Song

Peter Dinklage and Coldplay Set for Red Nose Day

The brooding Tyrion Lannister made plans with British band Coldplay to take over America's celebration of Red Nose Day tomorrow, May 21. Red Day, a charity celebration made famous in the U.K., finally reaches U.S. soil this year.

In spite of all the heavy controversy surrounding George R. R. Martin's "Game of Thrones" these past week, hilariously good news surfaced as Peter Dinklage, who plays Westeros' most famous dwarf, and Coldplay released a teaser video of their upcoming "Game of Thrones" musical.

In the video, the smartass Lannister sings about how he is still alive and well, five seasons into the show, while it seems that most of the other "favorites" have been killed off in various, rather creative ways.

Constantly asserting "Still going strong" as his battlecry in the entire song, Dinklage recalled how Ned Stark, played by "Lord of the Rings" actor Sean Bean, was "A lot of fun, but he didn't make it past season one." He also mentioned other notable, if not infamous, "Game of Thrones" deaths throughout seasons one through four. This includes Robert Baratheon, played by Mark Addy, and Robb Stark, the King of the North, played by Richard Madden.

Indeed, "Game of Thrones" has doled out its fair share of creative ways to die. Vizerys Targaryen, Queen Daenerys' spoiled brat of a brother, had hot, molten gold poured down his skull. King Joffrey Baratheon was poisoned in his own wedding. Renly Baratheon was killed by a spectral assassin on the orders of his own brother. Tywin Lannister was shot to death with a crossbow as he sat comfortably on a throne that was not exactly iron. Robb Stark was ambushed and beheaded in what is infamously known as the "Red Wedding," and his direwolf's bloody head was set on his shoulders as a mockery.

Despite all of this, Tyrion Lannister battled on, fending off physical, mental, and emotional attacks with his immeasurable intellect and wit. With a sea of death behind him, the black sheep of House Lannister definitely has something to celebrate.

Fans will be able to see the full version of Dinklage and Coldplay's musical treat tomorrow.
