Korean Drama "The Producers," starring Kim Soo-hyun, Gong Hyo-jin, Cha Tae-hyun and IU, continues to see an upward trend when it comes to ratings, recording 13.5 percent for episode 6, which aired on Saturday, May 30. The fans of the show, however, are a divided lot, mainly because of the romantic love triangle that has started to take shape in the recent episodes, featuring Baek Seung-chan (Soo-hyun), Tak Ye-jin (Hyo-jin), and Cindy (IU), and the romantic storyline is going to get more entangled, with Soo-hyun's character standing in the middle.

A group of fans is rooting for Seung-chan and Cindy to emerge as the one true pairing (OTP) of "The Producers," while there is another group that wants Seung-chan and Ye-jin to be "the couple" of the show. The writers, however, are in no mood to reveal their OTP card, keeping the love triangle and angles complicated.

In the show, senior PD Ye-jin is going through a hard time because of her best friend of 20 years, senior PD Ra Joo-mo (Tae-hyun). She likes him, but he has edited out her confession from his mind, fearing it will rock their friendship boat. Singer Cindy is drawn toward rookie PD Seung-chan, and whenever he is near her, her heart skips a beat. However, rookie PD Seung-chan is oblivious to Cindy's growing feelings for him and is falling in love with Ye-jin. For now, each character seems to be in a one-sided love story, and fans are fervently wishing for their favorite couple to end up together.

Meanwhile, the writers are reportedly planning to complicate this love triangle further in the upcoming episodes. K Pop Herald quoted an official in "The Producers" production team as saying, "As the feelings the three have for each other change, their relationships will become entangled."

"The writer is considering many possibilities regarding the relationships among the characters surrounding Baek Seung-chan," the official added.

Episode 6 ended with Seung-chan consoling Ye-jin by holding her close and cradling her head, as she was crying her heart out because of Joo-mo's nonchalant attitude even after seeing that she has injured her hand. Despite Joo-mo's reluctance to acknowledge Ye-jin's feelings, there is a group that wants the classic friends-turned-lovers scenario to unfold. Each equation, however, is going to break someone's heart.
