"Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it."

Mike Tyson might be the best person to play Mike Tyson in real life, but according to the controversial boxer, he prefers Jamie Foxx to play the role onscreen. And apparently, Foxx agreed.

Tyson shared with "The Daily Mirror" that not only will Jamie Foxx be taking on the role of Tyson in 18 months, the boxer revealed that they're going to have to use computer animation "because you know Jamie's pretty much my age so he can't portray [a younger] me."

Tyson is 48 years old, while Foxx is 46.

With the help of CGI technology, the Oscar winner is set to portray the boxer in different stages of his life. Tyson became a household name at 20 when he was named the youngest heavyweight champion.

The film is going to be using the same technology as what was used in Brad Pitt's movie, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". The movie called for Pitt to look both older and younger than he actually was.

Aside from Foxx, "Goodfellas" director Martin Scorsese, and possibly "Wolf of Wall Street" screenwriter Terence Winter, will also be involved with the film.

Tyson shared that the project still doesn't have a studio to finance it, but he believes that with the big names surrounding the project and, once all the details are ironed out, finding an interested distributor shouldn't be difficult.

The boxer, known for his ferocious and controversial persona in and out of the ring, was one of the most well-known boxers of the 1980s.

Two of the stories the athlete is infamously known for is an interview with his ex-wife actress Robin Givens wherein she revealed that the boxer had a temper and had abused her, and a fight with Evander Holyfield wherein Tyson bit a part of Holyfield's ear off.
