As the summer transfer window still on-going, Liverpool FC is having the chance to fill up the positions they direly need upgrades from last season. After getting Adam Bogdan, Danny Ings and James Milner, long time serving Liverpool FC centre-back Martin Skrtel signed a new three year deal to stay at Anfield this week, according to ESPN FC.

The 30 year old Slovakian centre-back was sighted by Internazionale Milano this summer. However, at first he was offered a deal depending on the game he will appear next season, which disappointed him. But in the end, Skrtel and Liverpool FC agreed for a three year deal to stay at Anfield.

After the deal was signed, Skrtel agent cleared the rumors about Inter's interest to sign the Slovak was true. It's just he was thinking a lot of his future lately, but chose to stay at Liverpool FC, where he made close to 300 appearances at the club in all competitions. Skrtel has been the main defense of Liverpool FC since manager Brandon Rodgers came to lead the team. Even the manager changed the play and opted to put three defenders at the back.

In other transfer rumor reports, striker Fabio Borini is set to leave Liverpool FC this summer as his agent is having a talks to a Bologna based club via BBC.co.uk. Before Fabio Borini played in the Premier League, he was member of one club in Serie A, playing in the youth academy from 2001 to 2007.

After exhibiting his potential in Italy, Chelsea FC signed him for quite a while. He then switched to Parma and eventually to AS Roma. But most of his career he was in England, yet he was unsuccessful to show his capability with any club in the Premier League.

Despite, Borini was Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers' first signing back in 2012. His inconsistency in his first season at Anfield during the 2012-13 Premier League season forced Rodgers to send him to Sunderland on a loan move. He returned last season to play for the Reds, but he once again disappointed many fans as he only scored 1 goal in all competitions, per ESPN FC.
