A lot of speculations have recently surfaced that Kevin Love is going to opt out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers this July. Along with that rumor, it was reported that the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Chicago Bulls will all try to veer the three-time All-Star to their side, according to Sports World Report.

After the Cavs lost to the Golden State Warriors, 4-2, in the recently concluded NBA Finals, the team's future is suddenly questioned by both fans and the media. "It's decision time again for LeBron James," wrote Brian Windhorst of ESPN. While Love and James are expected to opt out of their contracts this summer, only The King is said to be more likely to stay in Cleveland than Love.

Furthermore, Windhorst said that while LeBron pressed the management to trade for Love last year in exchange for their 2014 top pick Andrew Wiggins, the two players did not complement well both on and off the court when regular season began.

James went to social media to criticize his teammate for being passive and internalizing his "third option" role too much, which Love had since denied. The 2011 NBA Most Improved Player merely said that he was trying to "fit in" into the team, in which the four-time MVP responded for to "stop" and just "be a part of something special."

Reportedly, the Cavs are hesitant to sign the oft-injured Love for a maximum $100 million deal without the King's seal of approval. This is because if Love's contract turned out to be an encumbrance in the future, James would have to shoulder some fault for it as well.

While Cleveland is the team that can offer him the most money, but are the Cavs willing to give him that? After a season-ending injury and a lot better defense when the 6-foot-10 power forward was shelved, Dan Gilbert may be thinking twice about spending so much on someone that does not give his team the most value, as per Fansided.

Love's penchant for large market teams may eventually lead him to the Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, or Bulls. He should be expected to sign a short-term deal, maybe a year or two with an opt-out clause, to hit the market again in 2016 as the cap explodes that time.
