Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update release for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will happen very soon. Due to many recurring problems in the latest Android 5.0 for Samsung Devices, the tech giant is rolling out one more update to fix all the bugs.

Many complaints were received from the users of Galaxy Note 4 after they upgraded their devices with Android 5.0 Lollipop, The Vine Report reported. The main issue which was observed with this upgrade was the depletion of battery life in the devices which occurred very rapidly.

In addition to this, users also observed forced closing, over heating and unnecessary freezing of apps. They were also missing their notifications after the upgrade was made, according to Gotta Be Mobile. The new update is supposed to have an easier settings for screen pinning and for opening the apps.

Many users were able to fix these issues with the factory reset option but many bugs still persisted on devices like the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, along with many others.

This forced Samsung to quickly roll out another upgrade for its devices to fix all the bugs. The battery drain in Android 5.0 Lollipop was attributed to the coding of the software which is used to provide mobile data connection on the Samsung devices. This bug affects apps like Google Now and Google Play Services.

In addition to this, Galaxy S4 and S5 users reported memory leaks and battery drains after they updated their phones with Android 5.0 Lollipop. This problem was present even after the devices were upgraded with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Hence, the 5.1.1 update is made available for both of these devices on a priority basis, but the users of Note 4 can also expect the upgrade very soon. All other Samsung devices can expect this upgrade within this month.

Android 5.1 Lollipop is also being released for the Moto X(1st and 2nd gen) and for the users of Moto E(1st and 2nd gen). It is a staggered release in a number of countries. Motorola has also started soak tests in other countries prior to releasing the update for the Moto X and Moto E users.
