Miami Heat superstar Dwayne Wade is reportedly interested in joining forces with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers next season.

The NBA's Hang Time Blog indicated that there is mutual interest between Wade and the Lakers to make this deal happen. An ongoing contract disagreement is said to be what would push the three-time champion to jump ship to Los Angeles.

Although the 11-time All-Star was always vocal that he wants to stay in Miami for the rest of his NBA career, recent contract disputes with the management had made him open to potential suitors.

By the end June, Wade must decide whether to opt in or opt out of the last year of his two-year deal with the Heat that would earn him $16.1 million next season.

The 12-year veteran said that he desires a three-year contract of $20 million per year if ever he decides to opt out, but Miami is only willing to pay him less than $10 million a year for a long-term deal.

As expected, that is something that drew the ire of the 2006 NBA Finals MVP who had been the heart and soul of the Heat franchise for more than a decade.

According to the Miami Herald, Wade's request for a final huge payday is easily justified by his accomplishments throughout the years. He led the team to five NBA Finals appearances, winning three of them and have sacrificed a lot financially just to be able to do so.

He was also instrumental in persuading LeBron James and Chris Bosh to come to Miami in 2010 to form a super team that had dominated the Eastern Conference for a full four years.

This seems to be the perfect time for Miami to repay and be grateful for what Wade has done. But it appears to be that it is not in their plan.

SB Nation reported that the Heat wants Wade to opt in and delay his free agency to be able to have a shot at Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant in 2016. Although by that time, it is expected for Wade to again succumb to another pay cut to accommodate the former league MVP.

With three championships in his résumé and a career that is coming to a close, Wade appears to want what Bryant is enjoying with the Lakers at this stage of his career.
