It looks like new updates for Bandai Namco's new Tekken sequel "Tekken 7" have been revealed regarding the addition of a returning character and the development "Tekken X Street Fighter" crossover.

It was previously reported that Bandai Namco will be revealing new game details for "Tekken 7" at the EVO 2015 event being held on July 17-19 at the Bally's/Paris Las Vegas. "Tekken" creator Katsuhiro Harada hinted that he will make a huge announcement regarding "Tekken 7" and fans have speculated that this could the game's release date or a new character added.

Venture Capital Post reported that before the EVO 2015 event, "Tekken 7" was featured at the Southeast Asia Majors 2015 event on June 19-20, wherein 46 players from around the world competed against each other. Other games that were present at the event includes "Mortal Kombat X" and "Street Fighter."

Harada mentioned before that he will be adding more characters to the already impressive roster in "Tekken 7" as seven new faces have already revealed such as Claudio Serafinao, Katarina Alves, Josie Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Giga, Shaheen and Kazumi Mishima.

However, there are rumors that one returning character will be added in the "Tekken 7" roster.

According to a previous report from KDramaStars, Jin's mother Jun Kazama will likely return to the game series as a playable character. Fans of the game franchise believed that Jun died at the hands of Ogre during the events of "Tekken 3," but Harada hinted that Jun might still be alive as he debated over the fate of Jun to the fans via Twitter.

Jun Kazama made her return to the Tekken franchise in "Tekken Tag Tournament 2" and acted as the final boss character within the game, not to mention that she is also "Tekken Tag Torunament" boss Unknown.

Harada clarified that it was just Jin thinking that his mother is dead, but in Harada's point of view, Jun is just "missing in action" during the coarse of the "Tekken" story and will likely appear in the main series soon.

This leads to the speculation that "Tekken 7" could be Jun's staging ground for her return since the seventh installment is the final chapter in the on-going Mishima family feud, which has been in the central conflict within the "Tekken" franchise.

In other news, several news sites revealed that Bandai Namco is still working on the second crossover game "Tekken X Street Fighter."

According to Venture Capital Post, Bandai Namco is still going to work on "Tekken X Street Fighter" although there are no new updates yet regarding the game's gameplay details, release date or which console will it be available. Bandai Namco stated that they have a lot on their plate especially in the development of "Tekken 7."

The website further adds that Harada claimed "Tekken X Street Fighter" could have atleast 40 playable characters, a little bigger than the previous crossover game "Street Fighter X Tekken."

Attack of the Fanboy further adds that gamers who will try out the arcade version of "Tekken 7" during the EVO 2015 event should bring a Dual SHock 4 controller as the DS2 and DS3 controllers are not compatible to the game.

"Tekken 7" is considered the last installment of the "Tekken" franchise and it will feature new arenas, new gampelay features and returning characters such as Jin Kazama, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Xiaoyu, King, Lars Alexanderson, Yoshimitsu, Lili, Asuka Kazama, Kazuya Mishima and many more.

"Tekken 7" is rumored to be released on August 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, and a possible PC version of the game could be in the works as well.
