Miriam Yeung made her public appearance for the first time after her reported hospitalization due to a respiratory infection.

During the launch, Yeung revealed that it might take a while before she accepts new projects as she is still under recovery.

However, she said she will still be continuing plans that had already been set out for her prior to her health complications. These include a Hong Kong voice-over work for the upcoming Hollywood animation "Minions" and the mainland filming of reality show "The Amazing Race."

Miriam and her husband participated in the second quarter recording of the show, which pleased fans as the original date of its tour was already postponed.

A microblogging site even sent photos of her and her husband to confirm that her husband had already completed the relevant physical challenges for the show.

Her upcoming concert is also undergoing preparations amid speculations of postponement, according to Yahoo.

"My husband kept pestering me to take supplements and keep myself healthy," said Yeung.

"The Amazing Race" will launch in the second week of July, and Miriam's Guangzhou concert was postponed until August 29, reported Netease Arts.

Yeung has admitted that various projects were declined by her management company. Rumors suggest that their loss had amounted to over seven figures.

"There is some loss, but the boss prefers to have healthy artists instead," she said. "Life and health are the most important."

Amid her hiatus, some Chinese netizens even joked that she had died from lower respiratory system failure as well as a high fever caused by bronchial infection.

In a recent report by the South China Morning Post, the Canto-pop star and actress was said to have changed her work and life attitude after 10 years in the business.

"When you've been working in this industry for 10 years, you have to face changes. Whether it's my appearance or my mental state, it's impossible to stay in that 'Fong Lai-kuen' phase," Yeung said. "But I couldn't find a way out for quite some time. [In the off years] I learned to turn away because I wasn't offered suitable roles; I just focused on my music career."

"It's after I got married [in 2009] and started my family that I accepted I'm a mature adult who shouldn't keep playing young characters," she continued. "After that, I became a new person. It's a different experience playing the character in 'Love in a Puff.'"
