Keep 'em hot bean curds coming!

Chunks of freshly made tofu and lumps of sweetened bean curd pudding are not what Taipei's residents seek in a local bean curd stall these days. A chance to look at either the handsome face or the hunky physique of the stall's 26-year-old assistant has become a pilgrimage of sort for the customers, especially women.

Soon, queues snaked like crazy and snapshots of "Taiwan's hottest bean curd seller" abound social media sites. Images of him include wiping a table while in a sweat-drenched beater shirt and wringing that same shirt in all his topless glory. NY Daily News reported that his pictures were shared more than 26,000 times on Weibo alone.

According to Shanghaiist, the humble store is called Chuang Tong Zhi Dou Hua Tang and located in the Beitou district of the capital. Speculations about the man's identity rose, claiming he was either the son or the godson of the business owner. Still, spectators refuse to believe that with that finely sculpted build, he is simply a store assistant.

The unrelenting persistence of curious netizens paid off and the head-turner was identified as Yi Tin Chen. In an article by Daily Mail, social media users tracked Chen's Facebook profile and discovered that he is actually a professional model and works for Mercedes Benz. Standing at 5'8", the young man was also captain of his high school basketball team, Shanghaiist revealed.

With the surfacing of his modelling pictures, there are rumors that his stint as a vendor is a mere publicity stunt for his career. However, Chen's modeling agency denied the allegation.

Chen is not the first to grab the attention of social media users in China with his good looks. Daily Mail listed some of the "most attractive workers" in the mainland, including a policeman from Chonqqing who was reportedly swarmed by female runners who want a picture with him. In the city of Xi'an, 21-year-old Zhao Haonan made it to the radar of social media users after being identified as "the most handsome bus conductor ever."
