How do the best tennis players in the world get ready for Wimbledon? For some, it's all about practice and fine-tuning grass court chops. As for the rest, it's taking time away from the tennis court to recharge in preparation for 2 weeks of high-caliber tennis at the world's biggest grand slam.

Consider Novak Djokovic who has not played a competitive match since Roland Garros. The world no. 1 recently got back on court for an exhibition match but was defeated in straight sets by Alexander Zverev ranked no. 76 in the world. Yet, despite his lackluster performance, the Serb can't be downplayed and he's still in contention to take his 3rd Wimbledon title.

Waiting for him on the other side of the court is the second seed Roger Federer who recently triumphed on the grass courts of Halle. Though his way of getting in the winning groove means firing forehands on the practice courts, the former no. 1 credits his time away from the court after Roland Garros as a big factor to his current remarkable performance on grass.

"It's probably been the best preparation I've ever had for Wimbledon," Federer told ESPN. "I can totally pace myself, which is huge in an athlete's career and life."

There's no question that Federer is hungry for another Wimbledon crown, considering that he last held it in 2012. It is, after all, the grand prix of tennis and the Swiss is confident to bag his 8th title.

We switch to the women's side and the spotlight is on Serena Williams who hopes to capture her 21st grand slam trophy. You could imagine the world no. 1 wielding a racquet and getting ready for her 1st round match but the American decided to spend her Saturday night on stage with Taylor Swift during the pop star's 1989 World Tour instead.

Williams wasn't the only player having the time of her life at Hyde Park. She and Caroline Wozniacki took Instagram photos with Swift's concert stage behind. Angelique Kerber and Alize Cornet were also among those who joined the festivities that didn't include tennis balls and white uniforms.  But in two days' time, they and the rest will be at SW 19, all geared up and ready to hit the manicured grass for tennis' most prestigious tournament.
