The Vivo Watch was able to beat the crowd by integrating an elegant feature and handy design, one that users could easily wear anywhere. VivoWatch is cheaper than ZenWatch, its sibling device sold at $200.

Wareable reported that wellness is what VivoWatch is all about as it boasts tracker for UV level, steps, sleep quality, heart rate and calories though the exception is the caller ID with vibration. It is said to be more of a fitness wearable than a smartphone companion. The company claims that both VivoWatch and Zen Watch aims to get the consumer groups with greatly crafter but unique features.

When it comes to design, what the users get from Asus VivoWatch is a touchscreen made of Gorilla Glass 3 encased in a quite rounded stainless steel frame. At first glance, it may look the same with ZenWatch, except it has a glossy metal finish, Mobilegeeks reported.

Wareable explained, on the other hand, that the VivoWatch has proper protection against dust and liquids, where it is equipped with IP67 compared to the IP55 of the ZenWatch, which means it will remain intact under a meter of water for 30 minutes. Apparently, for some obvious reasons, the bundled strap is not made of leather, unlike ZenWatch, as it is made of swappable plastic with any standard 22mm watch strap.

According to Mobilegeeks, in order to maximize the VivoWatch, users should turn it to Exercise Mode that utilizes a front-facing LED to state whether their heart rate is within the normal range (green) or is too fast (red, with vibration alert). Simply hold down the home button for four seconds in order to toggle Exercise Mode when done while users can also sync the exercise data to their smartphone over Bluetooth.

VivoWatch could compete with other wearable with the same features like the $150 Garmin Vivosmart, $200 Microsoft Band and $200 Basis Peak. When it comes to comfort, it is safe to say that VivoWatch is better than its competitors, although they provide more features like smartphone notifications, distance tracking and cycling mode. The three competitors is reportedly doesn't look as good as VivoWatch, based on the review of Wareable.

VivoWatch is worth buying at $150, although, this review suggests that Asus should add more features like Jawbone Up Bands and sleep cycle-based smart alarm plus smartphone notifications.
