Speaking about the latest sad ballad "If You," G-Dragon said to Naver Starcast, as quoted by Korea Boo, "'If You' is the type of song choice that the group hasn't tried before and during the selection process, everyone of their staff over thirty years old preferred it." G-Dragon told Seungri that there is a lot of meaning associated with the "If You" track as he wrote it when he was in love, Korea Boo reported.
"If You" is reportedly the first track that all the members sang, including rappers G-Dragon and T.O.P. The members sang the song only relying on the lyrics without any technique, G-Dragon said. Moreover, for this song, G-Dragon collaborated with PK and Dee.P.
As expected, "If You" is topping the music charts. Korea Boo reported that on June 2, the title track "If You" ranked no. 1 on nine music charts, including MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh Music, Soribada, Genie, Naver Music, and Monkey3, which gave it the all-kill crown.
BIGBANG has not released a music video of "If You" yet. The reason behind this is that it is the saddest song that they have released since their formation in 2006, and it is a track that will "touch you emotionally. A music video wasn't shot so that you can focus on the music and lyrics only," Korea Boo quoted a representative of BIGBANG as saying.
"Sober" is a dance track, and its music video was reportedly filmed in a "unique style," keeping the "summer mood" in mind. Except "If You," BIGBANG has released music videos of all the tracks released till now, including "Loser," "Bae Bae," "BANG BANG BANG" and "We Like 2 Party."
The album E of MADE series is set for release on August 1.
