The reggae band's single 'Rude' has made it to the top 50 songs subsequent to its official release and has jumped a very impressive 48 places to the number two spot. Finally, today, the song was able to make it to the top spot, beating Cheryl Cole's 'Crazy Stupid Love' which featured English rap artist Tinie Tempah. The song is now at the number two spot.

Sixteen percent of the combined chart sales solely came from online streams. It is considered the highest streaming proportion for a number one single ever since the streaming for the song began, down to the Official Singles Chart just last month. It garnered a total of 1.4 million streams in just one week.

The results of their sales tally are contributed by fans listening through streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and O2 Tracks.

'Rude' by Magic! has already made it to the Top 10 charts in Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Iceland, The Netherlands, New Zealand and Sweden, including in their native country, Canada. Along with that, it topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Their two other songs also reached over a million streams each just this week.

Other notable songs on the list are that of Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea's collaboration song 'Problem' which garnered 1.05 streams and George Ezra's Budapest which got a total of 1.02 million hits.
