While working hard at promoting her new single "Cool for the Summer" Sunday afternoon at the WaterMarke Tower in downtown Los Angeles, Demi Lovato took a nasty fall in front of hundreds of fans.

The event was hosted by 102.7 KIIS-FM after Demi invited her fans to the party via Twitter.

Soon after the Demi Lovato fall, videos of the incident quickly popped up all over social media.

In one video, Lovato was shown on stage trying to get a microphone attached to her bathing suit. After one of the staff left, Lovato fell on the slippery platform.

While some of her fans were not too kind to the singer following the fall, with most of the audience giggling, Lovato showed she is a true professional by laughing off the incident.

The 22-year-old singer gave the peace sign and got right back up and even jumped into the pool later.

In addition, as videos of her fall went viral on the Internet, the former Disney star joined in on the fun by posting a slow-motion version of her fall.

"Well...It's not a tour without busting a$!!!!! #NOTcoolforthesummer," Demi tweeted in jest.

Looks like the fall did not cause the singer any injury since later that day, she continued working to promote "Cool for the Summer" by going to San Francisco's Temple Night Club for another concert.

Demi's single "Cool for the Summer" is slated to appear on her fifth album. Since it was released last week, the song reached top of the charts, mostly thanks to its racy lyrics.

"Take me down into your paradise/ Don't be scared cause I'm your body type," Lovato sings. "Just something that we wanna try cause you and I/ We're cool for the summer."

"Cool for the Summer" has been previously slammed for being a rip-off of Katy Perry and Jessie J's music, but the singer took to Twitter to address the issue.

"[Cool in the Summer] sounds nothing like [I Kissed A Girl]. With all the advances we've made in the LGBT community, I think more than one female artist can kiss a girl and like it," Demi tweeted.

"Cool for the Summer" was released on July 1. On Instagram, Lovato expressed her enthusiasm and said it was "seriously one of the best days of my life."
