Take it from Lena Dunham to get an intern that will bring in even more controversy to her already-controversial career.

Malia Obama, the elder daughter of incumbent US President Barrack Obama, is entering showbiz as an unpaid intern for the HBO series "Girls," which The Inquirer reported was hired directly by Lena Dunham.

The 17-year-old president's daughter is an incoming senior student and has reportedly worked for the TV drama "Extant" that stars Halle Berry, which shows the sincerity of Obama in working for the entertainment industry.

President Obama's daughter is reportedly a big fan of the show, and according to The Australian, she has kept in touch with the actor-writer-producer after meeting each other early last year at The White House. Though this is just a summer job, this might actually pave a way for Malia Obama to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, though not necessarily in the acting biz.

Lena Dunham is the last person anyone would think to be their boss, much less of a high-profile intern like Obama. Just last year, the "Girls" writer and producer entered a controversy of sexually abusing her sister, to which Dunham reported as a misinterpretation, saying that she does not condone such abuse under whatever circumstances.

This, however, is not stopping the presidential daughter from learning a thing or two about the industry. The Detroit Free Press already reported Obama being spotted at one of the set locations for the series at a Brooklyn restaurant.

Though the two parties have yet to confirm the news, it can be said that interning for a high-profile show can be stressful and tiring. Despite these, if Malia Obama truly wanted to enter the entertainment industry, she should learn the ropes as early as now, and who better to guide her through this sticky and messy industry than someone like Lena Dunham.
