Journeyman Mo Williams gets the chance to play with LeBron James for the second time in his career and they are both coming together again in Cleveland as the one-time All-Star signed a two-year, $4.3 million contract with the Cavaliers on Monday, as per ESPN.

The 12-year veteran had played for seven NBA teams so far and this will be his second stint with the Cavs after a three-season run from 2008 to 2011.

Williams was James' primary sidekick then, providing The King a valuable secondary offensive option. This time, though, things are going to be a lot easier for him as he is expected to provide equally valuable spells for Cavs Kyrie Irving and Matthew Dellavedova at the point guard position.

NBC Sports' Pro Basketball Talk has recently reported that Cleveland is still interested in signing back inconsistent shooting guard J.R. Smith. With Smith and Iman Shumpert taking turns at the no. 2 spot, the 6-foot-1 offensive playmaker is indeed joining a loaded Cleveland backcourt.

The 32-year-old is versatile enough to play either the 1 and 2 positions and so David Blatt may employ him to come off the bench for either guard spot.

Williams' acquisition really gave the Cavs incredible backcourt depth and Blatt may even resort to a three-guard lineup on occasion.

This move solves the problems they had keeping up with the small ball lineup of the Golden State Warriors in the recent NBA Finals. The only issue now is if the team could keep everyone as healthy as possible when another postseason arrives.

The sweet-shooting former Alabama standout surely is not what he once was when he played second fiddle to LeBron, but he is still a reliable backup especially in the offensive end.

Williams can also start a few games if ever Irving's knee would not be fully healed yet or if he simply wants a rest. In January this year, Williams scored 52 points for the Minnesota Timberwolves to break the franchise's all-time scoring record.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group said that Williams and James are reuniting "to do what they could not in their last Cleveland go-around together: try to win an NBA crown." If everything happens according to plan, then the duo may finally get what they wanted after all.
