Moto X 2015 and Motorola Droid Turbo: Release Date Set Between August and September? [Rumors]

Motorola release platform has two phones awaiting in the pipeline for release and they are Moto X 2015 and the Motorola Droid Turbo, which are are set to hit the market between August and September.

Both the handsets have different code names in the industry, with Moto X 2015 being named as the "Moto Clark" carrying the model number XT-1578 while Motorola Droid Turbo is codenamed as "Moto Kinzie" with model number XT-1585.

According to reports, both the devices possess different hardware configuration and design, which will appeal to the users.

The Moto Kinzie will have a strong hardware specifications and it will be powered by 8-core Snapdragon 810 processor. For smooth performance, the processor will be assisted with 3GB of RAM capacity and the GPU is packed with Adreno 430 chip, which is high enough to play high-resolution games without any lag. The display size of the device will feature a 5.5-inch screen and the screen type will be QHD display, which will support 2560 x 1440 screen resolution.

The camera segment has 20MP back camera and 4.8MP front camera for some great selfies. The internal memory space is 32GB, whereas, the operating system of the Moto Kinzie will be Android Lollipop 5.1.1 right after unboxing. It is expected to be upgradable to Android M, when the latter releases in Q3, 2015.

According to PhoneArena, the Moto Clark or Moto X 2015 might feature screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and the pixel density will be at 565 pixels per inch. The camera department may have 16MP rear camera sensor, along with 5M front camera sensor with the Rear camera being able to capture 4k videos at 30 fps.

As regards the operating system of Moto X, it is still a mystery though reliable sources have reported that the Moto X 2015 might unbox with the Android M OS.

Gospel Herald states that the hardware specification of Moto X 2015 will feature hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and the RAM unit will have 4GB memory.

Price-wise, it is expected to be on the higher side compared to its earlier counterparts. The price of the earlier version of the Moto X was $425 for 16GB storage while the 32GB storage phone was priced around $475. So, with better configuration and design, the upcoming member of the Moto X family might cost a bit than the predecessors.
