'Mirror's Edge Catalyst' PS4 Collector's Edition Revealed; DICE Confirms Easier Combat System, Open World Features!

According to IGN, EA games has revealed a "Collector's Edition" set for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms as the said items will cost around $200.

Eurogamer reports that the collector's edition of Mirror's Edge 2" will include a 14-inch tall Faith Conner figurine who is sitting side-by-side with a younger version of herself.

There is also an exclusive steel book and lithograph, ten concept art pieces within the game, two temporary tattoos that features "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" logo and Faith's arm tattoo design and a storage box.

IDigital Times further adds that the "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" collector's edition is now available for pre-order in several GameStop stores in the United States, as DICE will likely announce the collector's edition in other retailer stores soon.

Aside from collector's edition, players will also receive other contents like the Combat Runner Kit or the Speed Runner Kit when they pre-ordered the game online, but for those who wished to have both kits, they will just have to go to EA's Origin service.

In other news, DICE has revealed several new gameplay features that could make "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" more game friendly for the players.

According to Gameranx, DICE revealed three gameplay modes for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst." First is "Race" which lets players do a timed attack race, "Delivery" which deals more of the combat segment and "Billboard Hack" which lets players test their parkour skills.

The website adds that the combat system in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is made easier. For those who have Xbox One controllers will not have to press the right trigger and instead each combat action is done by pressing the X button when they are at the proximity range of their target.

DICE also explained that Faith will have finishing move animations and she can also attack enemies while she is running, PC Gamer reports.

The website further adds that the open-world sequence within the game is massive as the player's will discover that they will start out as small areas and then they eventually witness how big the world of "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is, through their own eyes.

DICE hinted that the game will have decent open-world experience as players can explore or practice their parkour moves whenever they are not doing a mission. It was previously reported that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will likely have a mulitplayer gameplay as DICE descirbed it has having an "asynchronous" connection.

"Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will be released on Feb. 23, 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and for the PC.
