Taiwanese director Hou Hsaio-Hsien's masterpiece, "The Assassin" gained marvelous reviews during the Cannes Film Festival. The $15 million film stars the one and only, Shu Qi. The tale follows the actress in her role as an assassin during the era of the Tang dynasty.

"I've seen a lot of kung fu films and I particularly like Japanese samurai films because the combats are so realistic," shared Hou during the conference, in a report by the Straits Times, adding, "There are very few tricks in Japanese martial arts films, that's why I wanted to do my film in this way. It was very complex for the actresses in the combat scenes, while working on the film they ended up with a lot of cuts and bruises."

Given the amazing reviews the film has gained, it isn't surprising that its lead star, Shu Qi would also amass popularity. Shu Qi has already starred in a number of films and has graced numerous fashion magazines. Yet again, her popularity this 2015 has managed to lead her to two covers for Harper's Bazaar.

Early in July, the actress nabbed the cover for Hong Kong's Harper Bazaar. Now, China Entertainment News reveals that Shu Qi has also managed to nab the August 2015 cover for China's Harper's Bazaar. Fans are praising the said cover, adding that the dress looks great on Shu Qi. The cover for the August issue was photographed by Chen Man, who is a renowned Chinese photographer who has done a number of shoots for major international companies.

As for Shu Qi, this is not the first time the actress has nabbed a cover for Harper's Bazaar China. In 2013, Shu Qi nabbed the September cover issue of the magazine. Check out some of the outtakes from the photo shoot here.
