Users will receive this update at different times as it is being rolled out on an OTA basis. Different companies are rolling out the update in a planned basis and in a queue format. Hence, some users will get the update early, whereas some users will get it late.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The rumors state that only some users in Russia are using this version of Android in their Galaxy Note 4. Samsung is yet to announce its plans for the official update release for this device, as per The Gospel Herald. It is also rumored that Samsung is in the process to smoke test this upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which is presently running on 5.0.1 version of Android.

Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6

T-Mobile network carrier is already in the process to roll out 5.1.1 version of Android for Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6, according to Yibada. The process was started in June and is still to see its completion day. Sprint and AT&T, along with Verizon, are yet to commit in rolling out this version for the device. It can be noted that the upgrade will fix issues like battery drainage, device heating and camera LED flashlight.

HTC One M9, M8 and M7

HTC M9 is the first HTC device to receive Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade. As of July, both the variants of HTC M9 completed the upgrade to the higher version of the operating system. The rolling out started on July 1, 2015.

A developer's version for this upgrade is also available for HTC M9, which is packed with a lot more improvements than the roll out version.

For HTC M8, the announcement is currently made for Britain users only, while users in North America and Europe is yet to receive any kind of confirmation.

It is reported that HTC might entirely stop the support for M7, so there is no information about this device.
