It looks like Hollywood star Emma Stone also got the K-pop fever. In a recent interview, the actress admitted that she is obsessed with Korean pop group 2NE1.

"It's a global phenomenon. I like a song called 'I am the Best,' which I'm not going to try to say in Korean, but it's incredible. It's an older song too. I'm way behind the times," Stone said.

Although the song was released back in 2011, it made resurgence when 2NE1 received attention for the hit record "Crush." The song was also included in Microsoft's commercial for the Surface Pro 3. It also managed to penetrate American market via radio stations in New York and Boston. The group also made appearances in American shows like "America's Next Top Model" and "The Bachelor."

However, the group may break down as member Lee "CL" Chaerin gets ready for her American solo debut. She will work under Diplo's record label Mad Decent which will focus on global pop and dance music. CL will be performing in three performances in August and September in North America.

Meanwhile Emma Stone has been busy with her Broadway shows. She revealed about her awkward backstage encounter with Meryl Streep, reported by Komo News.

"She was there and I was actually trying to sneak out. I just got my clothes on and was like, 'She's gonna come backstage and be kind and generous and lovely, because she's Meryl Streep and that's part of who she is, and then she came backstage and I just started to cry . . . I said, 'My voice was so terrible', and she says, 'I just thought it was from the cocaine (that your character uses),'" the actress said.

Emma has also become the "butt of many jokes" because of the "Aloha" whitewashing controversy. In the film, Emma was made to play the role of Chinese character Allison Ng. In an article by Vanity Fair, the actress admitted that since the film, she had learned about the issue of whitewashing in Hollywood. She also defended the character that she played in the movie.

"The character was not supposed to look like her background. Which was a quarter Hawaiian and a quarter Chinese," Stone said.
