An all-star cast of Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and "American Hustle" director David O. Russell forms the cast of the forthcoming light drama film "Joy." The movie portrays the life of Joy Mangano businesswoman and inventor of the Miracle Mop.

The movie's all-star cast is no stranger to Russell who has done movies like "Silver Linings Playbook" with the lead characters. In an interview with The Playlist late last year, Russell excitedly talked about plans on directing "Joy" with his repertory of actors, "It's a blessing because I can write for them. I can talk to them about the parts. And I can aspire to be worthy of them."

Twentieth Century Fox released the official movie trailer of "Joy" over the weekend. The movie premieres on December 25, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The movie will be the fourth time 24-year-old Lawrence and 40-year-old Cooper will be cast together in a film since 2012.

"Joy" is about a single mother struggling to raise her three children before finally making it big as an entrepreneur establishing Ingenious Designs creator of the Magic Mop. Joy's business dynasty takes the film through plots of betrayal, family, love, and loyalty.

"I aspire to make an unexpected movie. It's about a woman . . . what's inside her," Russell told The Playlist.

Movie fans as early as now are expecting another Oscar-worthy movie from Russell. Basing from his track record in recent films wherein his latest movies became major awards contender, they are quite sure "Joy" will follow after the footsteps, The Guardian reported.

"Joy" lead role Lawrence shot to total Hollywood superstar-dome after playing Katniss in the 2012 movie "Hunger Games" and its sequels. She had an Oscar nomination in 2011 for the film "Winter's Bone," in 2013 she won her first Best Actress Oscar for "Silver Linings Playbook."
