There was no stopping tennis legend Martina Navratilova who tweeted against the haters of current world no. 1 Serena Williams. After online criticisms against Williams' appearance went viral, Navratilova took to social media and voiced out her opinion saying:

Sorry but who are the losers trying to put down Serena Williams for her body?!?STFU-Serena is an amazing athlete and tennis player. The End.

Navratilova's comments didn't end there. In an interview with NDTV, the 58-year-old praised the reigning Wimbledon Champion and shunned all remarks about her physique.

"Serena is built like a man? I don't think so. She has the curves of a woman. Her strength seems to have become an issue as she is perhaps, the most powerful tennis player," said Navratilova. "Serena certainly hits the ball harder than most and it takes a lot of ability to do what she does.

The winner of 18 grand slams is currently in India providing coaching sessions with budding tennis players at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Hyderabad.

Navratilova, along with Mirza and WTA Finals Tournament Director Melissa Pine, organized a WTA Masterclass allowing champions to teach young and upcoming tennis players the basics of the game and other important lessons in winning. Karman Kaur Thandi, the 2014 WTA Future Stars winner, was also in attendance.

The Czech-born American hit with the players in attendance and gave one important advice: Do what you love.

"It's wonderful to be able to impart a bit of the knowledge I have gained in my many years of playing to young players like Karman. She represents the future of the women's game and it is my hope that events like the WTA Future Stars masterclass and ultimately the WTA Finals inspires many more like Karman to pick up a racquet," Navratilova said as reported by Sportskeeda.

Navratilova also took some time to learn about the Indian culture with Mirza. A video with a hashtag #AskUsAnything was released online showing the Champion hanging out with India's no. 1 player and greeting "Namaste" to the viewers.

Meanwhile, Mirza, together with doubles partner Martina Hingis has qualified for this year's WTA Finals in Singapore. The Hyderabad native was also awarded with a necklace recently for rising to the top of the rankings.

"I feel extremely honored to be No.1, it's something that I've worked for all my life," she said. "I hope this makes girls in India believe that anything is possible; we can achieve anything we want if we put our mind and body to it."
