Following his Wimbledon heartbreak, Roger Federer is set to take a break before he decides what tournament he will play in the second half of the current tennis season. According to the Swiss tennis great, who won the trophy at All England Club seven times, he will enjoy some down time with his family and work on regaining his strength after this last tournament before he release the rest of his schedule for the 2015 tennis season.

In addition to relaxing with Mirka and his two sets of twins, Federer said via Tennis.com that he will evaluate his performances at the Roland Garros, Gerry Weber Open, and The Wimbledon Championships before announcing the tournaments that he would like to take part in for the second half of the calendar year. He said that he will make an announcement in 10 to 12 days' time. Federer added that he anticipates what will happen regarding Switzerland's Davis Cup tie in September, where they play for a place in the World Group.

"Seeing what the situation is for that, and then I'll decide what I'll play in the summer heading into the Open and after that as well," the 17-time grand slam champion said.

Federer, who turns 34 in August, said that he will have to wait and see what happens and also focus on rebuilding his strength and review his performances in his previous tournaments. Federer had hoped to become the first tennis player to win the trophy at the All England Club eight times, but he was stopped by sensational Serb Novak Djokovic, who also crushed him in last year's final.

In February, Federer has listed his schedule for the first half of 2015 through a post on Facebook. He has announced his plans until Wimbledon, which concluded on July 12. Federer has a 40-7 win-loss record this season. He has competed in the first three grand slam events of the season with a third round exit at the Australian Open, a quarterfinal appearance at the Roland Garros, and a runner-up finish at Wimbledon.

Federer has played in 11 tournaments so far. He has won four titles at the Brisbane International, Dubai Tennis Championships, Gerry Weber Open, and the inaugural BNP Paribas Istanbul Open.
