Missing Mom Jennifer Huston Found Dead In Oregon Forest

The search for the missing mother from Dundee is over.

The body of Jennifer Huston, 38, was found near her SUV in Yamhill County on Tuesday.

Vern Clemmer, 74, found Huston's vehicle, a 1999 Lexus, in a very remote area near his property. He shared that he saw the SUV as he went out to chop wood.

According to Clemmer, the SUV was parked in an area beyond a "No Trespassing" sign. To reach this spot, the vehicle driver would have to unfasten the roped gate blocking the entrance. He then took note of the vehicle's license plate due to its questionable location.

"It's not a road somebody would drive," he described.

Clemmer's wife, Charlotte, explained that an unpleasant smell in the area prompted her husband to search the property. She claimed that her husband assumed that it was coming from a dead deer, which might suggest illegal activities nearby.

Upon seeing the SUV, the couple decided to call the police instead of investigating further. They then learned that the vehicle belonged to the missing woman reported on the news. Moments later, authorities arrived and discovered Huston's body.

"I was going to look for a dead deer on the way back and now I'm glad I didn't," he shared.

According to Captain Jeff Kosmicki of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, Huston still had on the same clothes she was seen wearing in the surveillance camera footages.

Initial investigations reveal no evidence of foul play and any indication that her vehicle crashed.

However, Chief Brian Casey of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department clarified that the investigations are still ongoing. Hence, no conclusive evidence is available as of the moment.

"Because this is pending death investigation, we are not releasing the apparent cause of death,'' Chief Casey told reporters during an afternoon news conference following the discovery of Huston's body.

At present, Casey disclosed that the Oregon State Police Crime Lab is examining the scene. The technicians are working with the Newberg-Dundee police detectives.

In addition, Capt. Kosmicki divulged that the autopsy results from the Yamhill County Medical Examiner are expected to arrive on Wednesday.
