A forum user has posted a photo that shows printout game releases on the Xbox One, indicating "Minecraft" is set to be launched on Aug. 19.

4J and Mojang, co-developers of Minecraft, previously said the game will be released some time in August.

The release date for the PlayStation 4 version is still unknown but it seems likely the game will be released for consoles at around same time Xbox One receives its port, according to The Epoch Times.

Reports surfaced last week that the launch date will be postponed to September for the PS4 and the Xbox One, according to The Fuse Joplin.

Scotland-based game developer 4J gave details about the console versions of the game on Aug. 1 on its Twitter page.

"We're still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs. We'll let you know when we hand over to the Cert testing teams," 4J said.

Roger Carpenter, lead producer of "Minecraft" on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, responded to a question asked by fans regarding the version of the game on the Xbox 360.

"Stopping X360 updates because of Next Gen versions?" ...err, no we're not stopping making updates for X360 :) #MinecraftXBLA," he wrote on his Twitter account.

Swedish independent video game developer Mojang previously described the Xbox One port of "Minecraft."

It said the version, which will be launched on the Xbox Live Marketplace in August, will provide notably larger worlds and a more substantial draw distance than on its Xbox 360 predecessor.

Saves from the Xbox 360 can be carried over to the next-generation console but not vice versa. The developer said they can make the worlds larger in the Xbox One with ease but cannot shrink them to fit the Xbox 360.

"Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" is set to cost US$19.99. Gamers that have the Xbox 360 version can upgrade it for US$4.99.
