Bulls vs. Lakers All-Time Fantasy Showdown: Why Michael Jordan’s Winning Mindset is Still Too Much for Star-Studded Lakers?

Former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O'Neal believed a team composed of all-time purple-and-gold greats would destroy the Chicago Bulls all-time team without breaking a sweat.

O'Neal might not be bullying inside the paint anymore but he remains bullish on social media, posting a fan-made photo of both the Bulls and the Lakers all-time starting teams with a comment "We would beat em by fifty "what you think."

O'Neal, one of the most dominant big men who ever played the game, has no doubt a team composed of Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and himself would easily beat the Bulls team of Derrick Rose, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Horace Grant by 50 points.

Shaq's Instagram post already hauled 50K likes and 8.5K comments, most of which are coming from Lakers and Bulls hopefuls trying to break down the fantasy matchup.

Fantasy Matchup - Who Would Win?

It's pretty obvious the Lakers will have enormous advantage down low with Shaq and Kareem playing the four and five spots, respectively. O'Neal averaged 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game while Jabbar put up 24.6 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game over his stellar career.

The Lakers also have arguably the best passer in the history of the game in Johnson, while Bryant and Baylor would make things tough for any team because of their ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

The Bulls, on the other hand, have an underrated frontline troika in Pippen, Rodman and Grant. The trio may not provide the same offensive output the Lakers frontline are capable of, but history tells each of these players were flat-out lockdown defenders. Rose isn't on the same level as Johnson, though his quickness and never-seen before athleticism for a point guard could be a factor as well.

And then there is the greatest player of all-time, Michael Jordan. While the bad boys of Detroit made him realized that he couldn't take his team to victory all by himself, his potent repertoire of offensive moves and lock-down defense would make a difference right away.

We would beat em by fifty "what you think". Let me know and don't hold back

Of course, Jordan's indomitable fighting spirit and extreme competitiveness might be the Bulls' greatest asset in this matchup of the heavyweights.

The Lakers have the more talented unit on paper, but the Bulls have dogs in them. Jordan is already a helluva of an athlete with his God-given athleticism and scoring touch. However, the one thing that made him the greatest is his contagious winning mindset. With that, the Bulls would still bag this one with Jordan hitting the game-winner at the buzzer.
