Rapper Lil Wayne has recently been kicked off a jet after he reportedly lit a joint as the plane took off.

The rapper apparently decided to get high while aboard the plane. The incident took place after Lil Wayne talked to the pilot and told the pilot he and his crew wanted to smoke a joint while flying. However, the airline staff, especially the captain, did not approve. He told the rapper smoking would not be tolerated, and the plane landed as soon as it took off.

The jet turned around 17 minutes after take-off and landed back to a Fort Lauderdale airport. The Lil Wayne jet incident and the flight itself lasted less than 20 minutes, according to The Inquistr.

Aside from lighting a joint, the rapper also brought his own drinks during the flight, the report said. Photos of Lil Wayne aboard the plane showed the rapper holding a cup with liquid that is colored "pink/purple." According to TMZ, the funny-colored liquid is consistent with sizzurp, a codeine-based prescription cough syrup and soda often containing crushed Jolly Ranchers candy. Sizzurp is also called a "cough syrup high," and according to doctors, the drink can be extremely dangerous.

It was not the first time Lil Wayne was caught drinking sizzurp on private jets. Back in 2013, TMZ reported that the rapper suffered some seizures from the drink.

Meanwhile, in other news involving the rapper, he has been linked to a new indictment after his friends were involved in a recent shooting. According to prosecutors, some people want to kill the rapper.

New accusations suggested Bryan "Birdman" Williams and new protégé Jeffrey "Young Thug" Williams had been linked to the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting  in Atlanta, Georgia, in April, according to My Fox NY.

"Recent shooting incidents connected with hip hop artists are raising concerns that the multi-billion-dollar music industry is being slammed by a riptide of street violence: the unsolved murder of Chinx in New York, the murder of a Chief Keef associate in Chicago, a shooting outside Rick Ross's Atlanta headquarters, and now an alleged assassination plot on Lil Wayne," the report said.

The Lil Wayne jet story now certainly seems tiny compared to the shootout incident. The indictment said that the people behind the shooting were contacted by Lil Wayne before and after the attack.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, and Birdman, whose real name is Bryan Williams, were former joint owners of Cash Money Records. Birdman filed a lawsuit against Wayne's Cash Money label recently, asking around $50 million for "loss of revenue," according to an Inquisitr report.

Lil Wayne, Birdman, Young Thug and Jimmy Winfrey are Blood Gang members, it also said in the indictment.

The Lil Wayne jet story is nothing compared to this indictment. According to reports, this summer could become a vital point in Wayne's life as many rappers are out touring. Another shooting could occur, putting Lil Wayne's life at risk.
