Several speculations claimed that Stewart's version of Prof. Charles Xavier could return in "X-Men: Apocalypse," given the fact that younger Xavier (James McAvroy) met his older counterpart in "Days of Future Past," Cinemablend reported. "X-Men" movie cast member Sir Ian McKellen confirmed that he will not be returning as Magneto in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and a previous report from the website hinted that Stewart both him ad McKellen will neither show up in the movie.

However, this does not mean that audiences will not see the former "Star Trek" star as Professor X as the character will appear in the third "Wolverine" film, along with returning cast member Hugh Jackman.

Aside from Stewart's movie set visit, there have been rumors that another mutant will join the "Apocalypse."

According to Gospel Herald, Grammy Award winner and singer Taylor Swift is speculated to play the mutant pop-singer and X-Men member Dazzler in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

The rumor started when a previous report from the HollywoodLife revealed that the film's producer Simon Kinberg posted a photo on Twitter with Swfit, James McAvroy and Sophie Turner.

Dazzler in the X-Men lore is a mutant with the ability to manipulate sound vibrations into light and energy beams. She has been a member of other Marvel teams such as Excalibur, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the latest all-women superhero team A-Next.

Lastly, Singer confirmed that a possible crossover movie between the "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" could happen soon, as he claims that several "ideas are in play," during an interview with Yahoo UK.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be released in cinemas on May 27, 2016.
