The "I Am Cait" eight-part series on E! has premiered, and the hashtag #IAmCait has now become one of the top trending topics on Twitter. Perhaps more than Jenner being at the center of attention amid all this publicity, the issue of discrimination befalling the trans community has also come into attention.

The docu-series "I Am Cait" has gotten a lot of promotion prior to its premiere, but no amount of that prepared audiences to the raw emotions and honesty of the show portraying Jenner's transition.

Featuring the questions of Jenner's mother, Esther, and discussions about the trans community, "I Am Cait" dealt with everything honestly and proved to be a must-see in today's television.

Rob Kardashian may have not been present in the recent "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" episodes, but he showed support for Caitlyn by giving him a phone call. The show also showcased how Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have showed their full support toward Caitlyn.

As for Jenner's daughter Kylie, she told Caitlyn that she is not afraid of her and that she even looks pretty.

For this reason, just minutes into the Caitlyn Jenner's reality series, the hashtag #IAmCait has immediately begun trending on Twitter and has remained trending since, according to The Wrap.

The "I Am Cait" premiere definitely found appreciation for the way Jenner's mom has accepted her while also admitting that she is still having a hard time thinking of Caitlyn as a woman since she has seen her as a man for so many years.

There are also video snippets of "I Am Cait" on Twitter, showing some special moments in the show.

Aside from fans of Caitlyn, celebrities also weighed in on the show premiere and tweeted under the hashtag #IAmCait.

The reception is not all positive though. With supporters under the #IAmCait label, there comes haters as well. Still, most social media users received the message and saw the importance of empathy and understanding, according to The Inquisitr.

More than 26,000 tweets are now using the hashtag #IAmCait, according to Twitter.

"I Am Cait," Jenner's new docu-series, comes two months after Caitlyn Jenner made her debut as a transwoman on the cover of Vanity Fair, reported Entertainment Weekly.
