A month ago, it was reported that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be available on the market in July 29, featuring the latest Windows 10 operating system; however, the rumor was cleared later with the latest release news of Surface Pro 4 wherein Microsoft is all set to launch the device in October, according to Christian Today.

Earlier, Microsoft has ordered Samsung for huge amount of 256GB solid state drive (SSD) which indicates that the company has gone for the production stage, DigiTimes reported. The upcoming version will be lighter and thinner with the signature ultra-thin form factor, bezel and screen size.

The battery capacity and the processor power will be upgraded to assure better performance that the predecessor with the latest Windows 10 OS. Surface Pro 4 might come with a smaller version, whereas the larger sibling will sport 12-inch screen size with 2,160 x 1,440 pixels resolution, 36KR reported.

The RAM unit will be supported by 16GB memory, whereas the predecessor has 8 GB of RAM unit, while its storage space will be provided with 1TB memory. New version will be more powerful as this will be the first device from Microsoft that combines Skylake processor, Windows 10 operating system, and 16GB of RAM.

The hardware section will also include Intel Atom 64-bit or Core Processor. Intel has confirmed that the upgraded Cherry Trail chip will provide enhanced graphic performance by two times than the Atom Chipsets.

Improvements will be noticed in the camera quality and the upgraded stylus system. Tech enthusiasts have reported that Intel might replace the Haswell Dual-Core i5 and Core i7 processor by the new generation Skylake Broadwell chips.

The said processor will extend the battery life by 30 percent, as the chip will introduce new technology that increases the heat circulation frequency in a fan-less design. Therefore, this version will operate more silently than its predecessor.

The earlier version of the Surface Pro was priced around £600 for the core model. The upcoming device is also expected to carry a price tag similar to its predecessor; however, the full and compact version with high-end features will cost around £1,600.
