According to Eurogamer, CD Projekt RED is developing what could be the final free DLC for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" that features a New Game Plus mode.

The new DLC was first announced in the official "Witcher 3" Facebook, as Screenrant reported that CD Projekt RED will announce its release date very soon, just not this week.

The website noted that the New Game Plus mode is one of the most requested features that fans wanted to see within "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" as it allows players to relive Geralt's adventures within the game, while retaining the present weapons and XP that they have earned.

Unlike the past DLCs, the New Game Plus as mentioned will not be available this week as CD Projekt RED stated that they needed a little bit more time developing the new game plus mode, and will announce further details about it soon.

Aside from the New Game Plus mode, Destructoid reports that Geralt will receive a new finishing move animation. A report from Forbes noted that new finishing animation will "not actually change damage or anything else, it just looked cool."

Yibada further adds that CD Projekt RED will also developing a new patch 1.08 update for "The Witcher 3" which likely includes the New Game Plus mode.

Marcin Momot, community manager for CD Projekt RED, announced that they are currently planning for the 1.08 update and will reveal the details very soon.

The website noted that the patch 1.08 was meant to fix the frame drop issues found in the 1.07 patch and car collecting achievements within "Witcher 3."

Lastly, PC World reportedly claimed that CD Projekt RED will be having two expansions for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" as one is scheduled during the fall and the other for next year.

it was previously reported that the latest patch update suffered framerate drops within the game as well as hidden changes like nurfed Igni attacks, enhanced gears and dualshock 4 compatibility on the PC platform.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
