Ortiz and his brother got into a physical fight and the victim was seen on the ground with the boxer kicking him. Ortiz was soon arrested after cops arrived in the scene. He was charged with assault using a deadly weapon after he was seen kicking the victim with his foot, the news site reported.

The boxer-turned-actor and his brother were booked that night but was later released on a $30,000 bail, the report added. At the jail's booking sheet, Ortiz appeared heavier than his last fight; weighing 160lbs at 5'9".

According to People, Lieutenant Jason Clawson of the Pasadena Police Department confirms Ortiz was arrested at the concert event at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The news site has reached out to the boxer for comment but his representatives have been unavailable.

Ortiz is a distinguished fighter with 30 wins to his belt. After his latest fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2011 which he lost, the former WBC Welterweight Champion was seen at the Season 16 of TV show "Dancing with the Stars." He also appeared in the movie "The Expendables 3" and upcoming boxing film "Southpaw" with Hollywood stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams.

Meanwhile, in a report by CDA News, the Ortiz brothers had a violent childhood. Their mother left them when they were little while their father was constantly violent with them. Ortiz took up the sport of boxing as his outlet for all his bad childhood memories. The boxer has been very vocal about his hatred towards his mother, the report added.
