British model Cara Delevingne defended herself after an awkward interview incident where she was slammed by morning news anchors.

Cara Delevingne did an interview with "Good Morning Sacramento" to promote her film "Paper Towns." However, things went ugly when the three news anchors slammed the model for being "exhausted" while answering questions thrown at her.

According to Daily Mail, the anchors of the show claimed that 22-year-old model was "not in the mood" to answer questions. One even suggested that the model should take a nap and get a Red Bull before cutting the interview short. Off-air, they continued to criticize the model for her lack of enthusiasm during the interview.

Cara quickly defended herself after the news went viral. For clarity, Cara posted a message on her Twitter account saying that some people do not understand the British sense of humor.

In another report by Entertainment Weekly, her usual witty personality and sarcasm probably didn't translate well with the anchors who called her "Carla" at the very beginning of the segment. The model gained support from other celebrities and personalities like Boy George, Zach Braff, Jeff Lowe and Kristen Walbolt.

But although some people sided with Cara, there are also some that disagreed with her "behavior." Entertainment Online reported that hosts of The View made their individual reaction regarding Cara's awkward interview.

"Yes, girl, yes! You know what she was made at? She was mad she had to sit through 13 to 300 different people getting asked the same question over and over again," host Raven-Symone said.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. When you're a famous movie star and you get to go on a local news show to promote a movie that people are paying $18 to go watch, you don't get to act like a bitch," Nicole Wallace voiced her opinion.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You know, she's not a famous actress. She's a newbie. She's not famous-no, honey, I'm famous," Whoopi Goldberg reacted. "You do a press conference and you're sitting in a room for like 24 hours and get asked the same damn questions. Suck it up, baby, suck it up!"
