Michael Jackson's sequined white glove, one of the pop star's trademark single white gloves, is being auctioned today, July 30, at Nate D. Sanders' auction house. Bidding starts at $20,000, and sale ends at 5:00 p.m.

Michael Jackson's white glove had been given by the legend himself to artist friend Paul Bedard. Bedard painted more than a dozen historical figures wearing the glove for Michael's house and Neverland Ranch. In addition to Michael Jackson's white glove, the winning bidder will also be receiving a photo of Bedard sporting the glove, some of his art created for Jackson, as well as a typed authenticity declaration signed by the artist himself.

This specific white glove features crystal beading and light wear and tear. In 2005, it was sold by Bedard, reported Entertainment Weekly.

$20,000 may not be a bargain, however, the price is cheaper than the $420,000 selling price of the glove the pop icon wore at his Moonwalk debut. That glove reportedly got sold just six months following the pop star's demise in 2009.

In 2010, another glove was sold at $160,000. The sequined $20,000 again pales in comparison to another white glove of Michael Jackson which was auctioned for $350,000, according to the Business Insider. At the time that the $350K glove was sold, a black jacket he wore at a 1989 world tour was sold at $225,000.

In a Barbara Walters interview with Michael Jackson in 1997, he was asked the explanation for the fashion statement, to which he said, "Why one glove? Cooler than two."

However, at various times Michael Jackson has also emphasized his rare skin disorder causing his skin pigment to disappear. This may also be the reason why only one of his hands were covered with a glove. He has fervently denied the bleaching of his skin from brown to white and stated that his skin condition made him appear paler than his original color when he was born, according to The Inquisitr.

A jacket worn by Michal Jackson in the "Bad" music video as well as an album cover is also being auctioned off beginning at $10,000, according to Billboard.
